Jim McAllister, Chief Executive of Dunsfold Park Ltd, was delighted to attend the Traffic OCU Commendations Ceremony at their HQ in Empress State Building, Fulham on Friday 14 October, to accept, on behalf of Dunsfold Park, the Traffic OCU Commander's Certificate of Merit for providing support and assistance to the Road Death Investigation Unit's field days.

Avro Vulcan Visits Dunsfold Park

The Vulcan made a visit to the skies above Dunsfold Park on Sunday (October 16).

Gordon Madgwick and Ray Sharpe, both serving members of 98 Squadron RAF, visited the Reg Day Museum at Dunsfold Park on Wednesday 28th September. Gordon, Ray and Reg all served together in 98 Sqn RAF between 1943 and 1944, working as radar and wireless mechanics on the B-25 Mitchell bombers.

Dunsfold Park was pleased to welcome 35 visitors to the aerodrome on Wednesday 28 September as part of a "Civic Day" organised by Mayor of Waverley, Richard Gates.

CLEUD Appeal Lodged

On Friday 2nd September 2011, Dunsfold Park Ltd submitted an appeal against Waverley Borough Council's decision to turn down the application for a "Certificate Of Lawfulness of Existing Use" (CLEUD) in connection with the use of the Aerodrome. All our efforts are now focused on the appeal.

On 14th August 2011, two intrepid pilots with type 1 diabetes, Douglas Cairns and Karl Beetson, will take off from Dunsfold Aerodrome, Surrey at dawn in an attempt to break a speed record to fly around Britain's coastline in a tiny single-engine aircraft. 

Greenpower electric car racing is returning to Dunsfold Park for the sixth year showcasing once again the cutting edge designs local school teams have developed.

A book of 100 fascinating places that helped shape Britain hit book stores on Friday (3rd June) prompting national newspaper, The Sun, to put together their own list which placed Dunsfold Aerodrome at number 66.

Dunsfold Park supports Tour Series

Dunsfold Park is delighted to announce that they will once again be sponsoring The Tour Series professional cycling race which is set to take place in Woking Town Centre on 14th June 2011.

A successful worldwide aero-medical conference was hosted by Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance for the first time in the UK last week (May 24-27) with an aviation finale held at Dunsfold Park on 27th.
