Presenting the award, Chief Superintendent Snelling was at pains to stress that because of budget constraints and, in particular, severe cuts in the current economic climate, without the support of organisations such as Dunsfold Park, who provide their premises and assistance for a very small nominal administrative fee rather than the market rate, the police simply couldn't afford to hold these essential training courses for their officers.
Jim McAllister, comments: "We are only too pleased to support the police force locally and nationally in the vital training they undertake here on the Aerodrome. It is gratifying to be recognised for the contribution we make in welcoming the police and ensuring the days run smoothly from both an organisational and practical point of view and we will display our certificate of merit with pride."
