Red Cross to Raise Funds at Drive-In

Tuesday, 30 March 2010

The Red Cross is joining the Dunsfold Drive-in team this Easter to raise funds for vital local and international initiatives, including the recent Haiti appeal.

For a small donation, Red Cross volunteers will be on hand to wash movie goers’ windscreens to ensure an uninterrupted and ‘sparkling’ view of the 20 x 10 metre screen.

Nancy Edwards, Dunsfold Drive-In spokesperson, comments: “Dunsfold Drive-In is delighted to be supporting the Red Cross as they join us at the Drive-In for some good old fashioned window washing. For a small donation, movie goers can help so many vital local initiatives as well as the international work the Red Cross are renowned for. Tickets to the drive-in are only £20 per car, per film - a reasonably priced weekend of fun for local families looking for something a bit different this Easter.”

A Patrick Swayze double bill of Dirty Dancing and Road House will play on Friday 2nd April, some sing-along classics, Grease and Mamma Mia, on Saturday 3rd, with Disney’s Finding Nemo and Tarantino’s cult phenomenon, Pulp Fiction, on Sunday 4th.

The three-day movie fest is being held at Dunsfold Park near Guildford in Surrey over the Easter weekend. Two movies will be shown each day with gates opening at 6.30pm for the first showing and 9pm for the second. Ticket prices start from £20 per car, per film, for a maximum of 5 passengers and are available at the Dunsfold Park Estate Office or the Guildford Tourist Office.
