Dunsfold Park Submits Revised Filming Application

Tuesday, 02 February 2010
Following Dunsfold Park's successful Judicial Review of the decision to refuse outdoor filming at the aerodrome, Jamie McAllister, Development Executive, comments on new plans submitted this week:
“Dunsfold Park Ltd has worked closely with Waverley Borough Council to submit a revised application which is now being considered with a decision expected in March.

The aerodrome has entertained some of the big and small screen’s most celebrated stars and films, including Casino Royale, The Da Vinci Code, Last Chance Harvey, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, Top Gear and the Day of the Triffids.

The aerodrome is an ideal filming location due to its proximity to London and because of the diversity of filming opportunities available such as our runways, large hangars, wide expanse of open space and the 747 and other aircraft.

Filming has also brought significant economic benefits to the local businesses and community as well as prestige to the borough of Waverley.”
