Donation to Café on the Park social enterprise

Two companies working on the construction of new business units at Dunsfold Park have donated £1,000 to Jigsaw Schools Café on the Park social enterprise. The donation by Brymor Construction and the Comley Group will be used to install equipment to extend the café’s scope – and the work experience available to pupils and adult clients.

The Café on the Park is run as a social enterprise at Dunsfold Park. It is staffed by catering professionals, offers a selection of hot and cold food and has a Costa Coffee franchise – and also provides a wide variety of work experience to our pupils and clients.

The significance of the donation, which will fund the installation of specialist ovens, was underlined by Jigsaw Trust Chief Executive Kate Grant: “As a social enterprise the café provides a commercial environment for our clients and older pupils to learn and develop important life skills.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Comley Group and Brymor Construction for their very generous support. It will mean that more of our children and young adults will be able to access work experience opportunities thanks to the additional equipment available for them to use.”

Steve Morton, Chairman of Brymor Construction, and Toby Comley, Managing Director of Comley Group, personally visited Jigsaw to present their cheque to Kate Grant.
