After a background introduction to basic CPR and the management of choking adults, the group was paired off to learn how to place a casualty in the recovery position. Each member then took part in an emergency scene re-enactment using the 'Resuscitation Annie' dummies to practice performing CPR.
The skills taught by Lifecare Medics are designed to save a life before emergency services arrive, whether this is at work, home or in a recreational setting.
Lifecare Medics moved to their new offices on Dunsfold Park in August 2010. The relocation has allowed for an expansion of their facilities to include two teaching classrooms with interactive whiteboards. These new facilities will not only aid the company in the teaching of basic first aid skills, but will continue allowing the medical training of Lifecare Medics own staff as new emergency procedures are introduced.
Nancy Edwards, PR & Marketing Manager, Dunsfold Park Ltd comments, "We were delighted to take up the free training offered by Lifecare Medics. It is vitally important that everyone has the skills to be able to help save the life of someone in the event of an emergency. This training was ideal for refreshing those with out of date knowledge and teaching those new to first aid simple life saving skills. Lifecare Medics have offered this training to all Dunsfold Park tenants and I would urge everyone to take part in this free life-saving training."
