Waverley Mayors’ ‘Civic Day’ Visit

Dunsfold Park was pleased to welcome 35 visitors to the aerodrome on Wednesday 28 September as part of a "Civic Day" organised by Mayor of Waverley, Richard Gates.

Mayors from Surrey and adjoining boroughs were invited by Councillor Gates to visit places of importance and interest in Waverley, which would not have been complete without a trip to the famous aerodrome Dunsfold Park.

Guests were treated to a tour of the business park, which houses over 100 businesses, and, by special request, a trip around the Top Gear track and a sneak peak at the Hollywood film set for World War Z. Dunsfold Park was also keen to show the mayors the aerodrome's latest project, a 2 Megawatt Solar Array which is set to feed the business park from entirely green energy.

Jim McAllister, Chief Executive of Dunsfold Park Ltd comments: "The visit was a great success with mayors across Surrey and adjoining boroughs having the opportunity to see first hand our achievements here at Dunsfold Park. Feedback was very positive and they were eager to learn more about the variety of businesses and the diversity of activities on site in comparison to other aerodromes that they have visited elsewhere."
