- Zero carbon emissions 

 - 100% water harvesting and recycling through a closed water system, a key feature in the southeast where water shortages are a major problem.

- EcoHomes excellent rating

- Construction re-using many of the materials already on-site such as the runways and demolished buildings plus maximum usage of sustainable materials 

- Efficient, on site handling and conversion of household waste 

- Public transport running on green fuels thereby producing extremely low carbon emissions 

- Commitment to car use reduction (not ownership) by introducing efficient public transport links, incentives for car sharing, car user charging and car clubs
