The community facilities available at Dunsfold Park will ensure that the village settlement will enjoy a measure of self-containment. It will provide community services where they are lacking in the local area while also ensuring that existing services and facilities in local villages, especially Cranleigh, are sustained and enhanced by the increased local population. The team at Dunsfold Park Ltd has consulted with a huge number of community service providers including Surrey Constabulary, the Primary Care Trust, Cranleigh Village Hospital Trust, local surgeries, the ambulance service, local clergy, schools and the University of Surrey. Services and facilities will only be provided at Dunsfold Park where they are needed to support the new settlement on-site and where they do not compete with current facilities in the Cranfold area. Although the final make-up of community facilities will not be determined until the consultation process is completed, it is anticipated that the new settlement will include the following: - Primary school - GPs' surgery with supporting preventative health facilities - Sports and recreation facilities - Public IT facilities - A church - Convenience shops - Pub, cafes and restaurants - Dunsfold Aerodrome Museum - Open parkland areas We will continue to remain open for discussion on the needs of the local area and encourage anyone with a view on our proposals to get involved and have your say. |
