Dunsfold Park was delighted to bear witness to the Vimy's final flight as it departed for the last time from the aerodrome before taking up permanent residents at Brooklands Museum in Weybridge.

Crowds gathered to film and photograph the historic flight, including owner of the aerodrome Jim McAllister who comments:
Commenting on the Secretary of State’s decision to refuse permission for an eco village at Dunsfold Aerodrome,  Jim McAllister, Chief Executive of Dunsfold Park Ltd said,

“The decision by the Secretary of State to refuse the Master Plan proposals for a new Eco village at Dunsfold Aerodrome is both disappointing and confusing and places question marks over the Government’s commitment to Climate Change.
The 2009 Wings & Wheels success story continues with the announcement today that some £80,000 will be distributed to nominated charities Help for Heroes, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, Cranleigh Village Hospital Trust and Brooklands Museum Trust.
